Through The Lens: Full Of Hell / Jarhead Fertilizer / Antichrist Siege Machine / Unyielding Love @ Rebellion, Manchester, 6th September 2023
Another better late than never Through The Lens feature for a blistering night in a very hot, very sweaty and ram-packed Rebellion in the heart of Manchester’s city centre. A gig that was once again hosted by local promoter The Beauty Witch with a four band line up, each of whom rightly deserved their place on this whirlwind tour of the UK and Ireland.

Opening were Belfast’s Unyielding Love, a new band for me who brutalised my ears with their blackened grind and noise, and what vocalist Richard Carson was doing while chomping down on his mouth-operated electronics, only the dark lord himself knows. Antichrist Siege Machine swiftly followed, a guitar and drum two-piece who literally ripped Manchestera new one with their feral take on blackened thrash and metal.
Jarhead Fertilizer, who also feature current and past members of tonight’s headliners Full Of Hell, delivered a frantic set of power violence and grind and were the perfect appetiser before Dylan Walker and his band of, not so, merry men ripped through a ferocious forty-five minutes (or so) of manic grindcore wrapped around a despondency of harsh noise and power electronics.
Although a difficult gig to shoot with low lighting and/or a fog-drenched stage topped off with a crowd going absolutely ape shit, it was a (full of) hell of a night, and check the photos below…
