French occult stoner doom purveyors Witchthroat Serpent are back to cast another dark spell across the underground metal landscape. Emerging from the depths of Toulouse, the four-piece has spent over a decade perfecting a signature blend of suffocating stoner doom, characterised by monolithic guitar walls, hypnotic analogue warmth, and an unwavering devotion to the dark arts.
Ahead of the arrival of their forthcoming full-length record, Demons Left To Roam, due out 9th Octobervia Heavy Psych Sounds Records, The Shaman is thrilled to host the premiere for their thunderous new single, Silver Bell Of Satanic Ritual. Serving up an intoxicating wall of ritualistic riffs and percussion that echoes the golden age of horror-tinged heavy music, haunted vocals slice through the dense fog of fuzz to paint a vivid picture of moral panic, vintage sleaze, and arcane devotion.

Witchthroat Serpent was formed in November 2011 in Toulouse, France to spread occult and powerful doom stoner across the living world’s borders. The band has toured extensively in Europe, playing both underground shows and major scene festivals such as Høstsabbat and Sonic Blast.
After their second critically acclaimed LP Sang-Dragon, Fredrik Bolzann and Niko Lass have been joined in their act by Ügo Greifengeier and Djé Cndrs for a split with cult fellows Dead Witches published by Heavy Psych Sounds Records and followed by the third LP Trove Of Oddities At The Devil’s Driveway. Now a maniac four-piece band wholly dedicated to the dark arts and the everlasting quest for ‘The Tone’, they are set to release their new album Demons Left To Roam on Heavy Psych Sounds Records on 9th October 2026.
Recorded at the legendary Kerwax Studio by Christophe Chavanon on analogue tape and gear, the long-player is yet another hymn to the last century’s sordid dreams and fears, moral panic and creepy costumes. Huge and gritty walls of guitars, rumbling stereo bass and plundering ritual drums raise a wall of songs brimming with horror tales and satanic litanies, carried by the band’s trademark haunted vocals.
